The St. Ides story
The St. Ides name dates to 1987, when it was a malt liquor woven into hip-hop through partnerships with Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and Cypress Hill. Discontinued in 1998 and later acquired by Pabst Brewing Company, it came back in 2021 as a cannabis brand: Pabst Labs launched St. Ides High Tea, a line of THC-infused iced teas, in California, Oregon and Nevada.
The bet paid off. Sales-data firm Headset ranks St. Ides as the number-one beverage brand in California, stocked in roughly eight hundred and fifty dispensaries.
