Chapter VII
The wellness shelf: the plant, without the party.
Not everyone walks in looking for a high. Some of our most loyal regulars never touch the flower case — they come for balms after a long shift, CBD-forward tinctures for winding down, and low-dose ratio products that keep a clear head. This shelf is for them, and maybe for you.
One honest note: we're budtenders, not doctors. We'll happily explain what's in every jar and what customers tell us — but for medical questions, talk to a physician. California even gives medical patients better terms; ask us about the 18+ medical-recommendation path if that's you.
Topicals & balms
Creams, salves and roll-ons applied where you want them. Non-intoxicating in standard form — the shelf's easiest yes.
Tinctures
Under-the-tongue droppers in CBD:THC ratios from 20:1 to 1:1. Precise, smoke-free, easy to dose down to the milligram.
CBD & ratio products
Gummies, capsules and drinks that lead with CBD. Mild by design — bring your questions and we'll match you to a ratio.
Where to start
Tell us the outcome you want — ease into sleep, take the edge off a workout, keep a clear head — and we'll narrow the shelf to two or three honest options. If you like homework first, our terpene guide and first-visit walkthrough are good primers. Everything here is lab-tested like the rest of the store — check any label against its COA.
Wellness questions, answered
- Will a topical get me high?
- Standard balms, lotions and rubs don't — THC applied to skin works locally and doesn't meaningfully reach the bloodstream. The exception is transdermal patches and gels, which are designed to absorb systemically; we'll flag those clearly if that's not what you're after.
- What does a ratio like 1:1 or 20:1 mean on a tincture?
- It's CBD to THC. A 20:1 is almost all CBD with a whisper of THC (very mild), a 1:1 is balanced, and the effects scale with the THC side. Higher-CBD ratios are where most wellness-shelf shoppers start.
- How do I dose a tincture?
- The dropper is marked, and the label states milligrams per milliliter. Start with a quarter to half dropper under the tongue, hold it there for 30–60 seconds, and give it 15–45 minutes. Same rule as everything else in the store: start low, adjust slowly.
- What do wellness products cost in Woodland Hills?
- Topicals typically run $20–$50 depending on size and potency, and tinctures $25–$60. Happy hour (7–9 PM nightly, 15% off) applies here too, and loyalty members earn a point per dollar.
Gentle is still an option.
